Le 30 Septembre dernier, les SIMPLE MINDS (SM) ont démarré leur Tournée Mondiale intitulée : "Simple Minds – 40 Years Of Hits Tour 2020." Ils assureront quatre Dates dans l’HEXAGONE. Ils seront sur La Seine Musicale de Paris le 4 avril, à l’Arkea Arena de Bordeaux le 6 avril, à la Halle Tony Garnier de Lyon le 7 avril et au Zenith Arena de Lille le 8 avril. Alors, save the DATES !
Les SM (pas si simples d'esprit que cela...), originaires de Glasgow, ont vu leur popularité internationale culminer dès les années 1980. Ils se sont faits connaître notamment du Grand Public grâce au Tube de la BO du film Breakfast Club en 1985 : Don't You (Forget About Me). Mais aussi grâce à des Titles d'exception tels : Love Song, Promised You A Miracle, New Gold Dream, Up On The Catwalk, Kick It In, And The Band Played On, Imagination, Moscow Underground, etc.
Le 30 septembre 2019, ils ont sorti aussi leur CD-ANNIVERSAIRE baptisé : "40 : THE BEST OF – 1979-2019." Une nouvelle Compile qui couvre les 40 années de carrière du légendaire groupe Ecossais de Rock et de New-Wave. Un Band qui le 20 août dernier avait déjà mis dans les Bacs des meilleures Disquaires du pays son "Live In The City Of Angels". Un Titre comme un clin d’œil savoureux au Live In The City Of Light. Le fameux double LP/CD Live album réalisé en 1987 et enregistré au Zénith de Paris, avec, entre autres Best, le Morcif d’Anthologie revisité pour l'occasion : Promised You A Miracle. Le Live In The City Of Angels, quant à lui, est la parfaite Synthèse des meilleurs extraits du plus grand Live Tour que les SM n’ont jamais fait aux States (du Nord), et dont le thème principal réexplore notamment l’album Empires And Dance.
